This past week I found my mentor! His firm represents plaintiffs that have been wronged; this includes medical malpractice. I am so excited to begin shadowing him next semester.

During our meeting, we discussed the Hot Coffee movie that he recommended to me. We had an insightful conversation about the historical context of tort reform as the McDonald's hot coffee case prompted the question of civil justice reform. He also walked me through a chemical plant explosion case in Houston, Texas he has been working on for the past couple of years. I thought it was very interesting because of its proximity to Dallas, but also because it is a class action case.

I also continued working on my original work. As of now, I am almost completed with the simulation portion of my website. I have completed the pages for the plaintiff, the plaintiff attorney, and the defense. I am working on the pages for the insurance company player and the final summary page. I made slight adjustments from my original website draft, but that was expected.

For this upcoming week, I am going to finish my original work website and update my digital portfolio. I will also complete my last research assessment for this semester.
