I have mixed emotions writing this last blog. It is upsetting to think of ISM coming to end but on the other hand, I am excited to move forward and enjoy a relaxing summer.
For this blog, I want to focus on the final presentation night. It was a hectic evening. For one, it was a little bit of a rush setting up my room. Though at the end, everything was prepared and in order before I went to the cafeteria to present my display board. I talked to a lot of familiar faces, but there were a couple new people who came to my board interested in the topic. During my presentation, I had 8 people in my room. My mom, dad, brother, grandma, mentor, and 3 friends. My presentation was around 45 minutes and my mentor asked a lot of questions. Overall, my presentation went very well and I am proud of how I communicated my research, original work, and final product.
I cannot express how grateful I am for the Independent Study and Mentorship program. I not only learned so much about medical malpractice law, but also invaluable soft skills. I want to thank my teacher, Mr. Green, and my mentor, Mr. Underwood, for making ISM a wonderful experience. Peace out!
